I'll take a messy laptop over a fried one anytime!

G. has gotten overzealous again and soaked the hell out of the screen of my laptop in cleaning solution. When I brought it to his attention that the stuff was dripping off the laptop he tried to hurriedly wipe it off... just to push it into the screen somehow...No, I don't feel any better knowing he "was just trying to help" -- do I really look that helpless? D.

Vichyssoise: make sure people actually like it pureed

(that's the classic way to make it so I didn't give it a second thought) I recently found out G. doesn't exactly like it this way... I asked him why didn't he tell me before. "I didn't want to discourage you..." So, meanwhile, he's been eating the "Fancy French Baby Food," according to G., with a smile on his face and no complaints... D.

I was talking with some guys in Barnes&Noble, asking them if G. really needed a miter saw (he's had his eyes on it for some time) if he already has a perfectly good regular saw." Ohhh.... a miter saw... yeah... *everybody* needs at least one!"

P.S. asked G. if there was any point in having more than one -->'not really...' but he was thrilled to have such unconditional support from some guys he's never met... (and I learned something about male solidarity) D.
