one of a kind desk...

I'm glad I didn't buy that huge leather top desk for G. back in OH -- found a really nice one in an antiques store and I was tempted... But he's building a one of a kind! (he's applying ideas such as the lazy Susan to a desk??? -- makes a big desk much more accessible and functional than I thought could be... really cool!) I *love* G.! D.

Will be going to a drive-in theater!

crude or not... that's one experience I haven't had... so...we are going to remedy that:)... D.

Southern Christmas

people were just talking and one of them referred to G. as "an encyclopedia of knowledge," to which one of the females said:"I *love* G.!" -- she's a really nice ebullient girl so that's probably all there was to it but (G. told me) everybody stopped talking...

apparently I do a little routine before falling asleep: start on G's chest (it's wide, plump and luxurious...), then turn on my side to get a hug from behind and... end-up a bit away embracing the pillow? (go figure...); there are other little details I wasn't aware of, such as doing a leg curl over his leg when I'm on his chest -- I had no idea he had an attachment to these things, until he told me... unless you are into "furries" there is really no good reason not to do that... so I wanted to paint a picture of them (well... from the waist down) against a background of flames, call it "Fire!" and hang it above the bed -- he won't hear of it! (I could have sworn any man would have been thrilled with such a proposition... especially after 13 years of being married)

he wants me to paint a reproduction of "The School of Athens," for his den, instead... -- how boring is that? (if I'll ever do anything of the kind it's going to have me in it... as Socrates... nude and winking...)

guess what I wanted for Valentine's?

we ended-up cancelling the reservation for the 4 star French restaurant and went... rolling down the hill... (there has been a nice blanket of snow for a couple of weeks now) ... with the neighbourhood kids! we just drove by and I remembered having loads of fun doing that when I was a kid... and I knew this was the ONLY time I could talk G. into doing this! we are moving down South in a month or so (he had a suffering look on his face... but couldn't say "no" -- not today...)
